I have always been drawn to the melancholy of stories. Even as a girl trying to find love for books, I needed that one book, with such sad and profound aching, such immersive prose and emotions, to unlock my love for books. The ache and the lyrical immersive prose is what drives me forward even now.

I was born in Slovakia in Detva, which is a small town surrounded by dark forests with wolfs and bears a common occurrence (not that I seen the animals myself, but the Slovak forests are their habitats)

​

Slavic mythology bled into the pages of my upcoming series and so did the Slovak soil, amongst others. As if the words were a part of my ancestors. ​​

Now I live in the UK with my amazing and supportive husband and our toddler who loves songs so much, my vocal chords are suffering for it. No matter, he deserves it, for it is my son, who pushed me to finish the first book after thirteen years of writing and doubt. Pregnancy pushed me to complete the first draft and between the night wakes is where I finished the final, self edited draft.

When I am not writing, I am singing all day to my toddler (who knows how he is not fed up from it?) thinking about another brooding dark haired hero to add to my written collections, baking(not so often since becoming a mother) and going to a good coffee shop.
